KMC’s 3-year plan to manage stray dogs

Kathmandu, Feb 23: In a bid to build a hassle-free traffic in Kathmandu Valley, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is all set to launch a 3-year campaign to manage stray dogs.

The KMC has estimated the budget of about Rs 30.3 million for the campaign.

Public Health Division Chief at KMC Office, Hari Kumar Shrestha, informed that they were making plan to manage the stray dogs in the capital city as they were creating problems in managing public traffic and even affecting human health.

Under the 3-year campaign, a census of stray dogs will be conducted as initial step.
According to him, KMC and a social orgasnization, Human Society, will jointly launch the programmes for the purpose. RSS
