KATHMANDU, March 11: The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday morning.
UDMF leaders handed over the memo to PM Oli with 7-point demands incorporating issues of constitution amendment, treatment to the injured in Madhes protest and controlling black marketing among others.
UDMF has also warned of stern protest if it demands are not addressed by mid-April.
Likewise, it has demanded fair probe into the government’s ‘suppression’ in Madhes protest, compensation to the victims and revoking ‘false’ lawsuits.
On the occasion, PM Oli requested the UDMF leaders to come for a broader discussion over the issue and proposed to hold talks this evening, according to UDMF leader Keshav Jha.
“Let’s solve the contentious issues through discussion and hold talks today itself,” Jha said quoting PM Oli.
