Nepal signs transit treaty with China

KATHMANDU:  Nepal signed various agreements including transit treaty with China on Sunday.

The agreement was signed during a meeting between Prime Minsiter KP Shama Oli and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang, PM’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Gopal Khanal informed.

According to a press release issued by Pramod Dahal, the Prime Minister’s press advisor, the agreements signed today include transit and transport agreement, free trade agreement, agreement related to installing solar grids at 32 thousand houses, agreement on soft loan, loan agreement for construction of Pokhara Airport, agreement on exploration of gas and petroleum in Nepal and deal on construction of a bridge in Hilsa among others.
